The members of Metallica were in the studio last September to record their voices for an upcoming episode of The Simpsons. It will air as the premiere to the show's eighteenth Season, on September 10.
The metal giants, who rocked the hell out of Download festival last month, join a long list of acclaimed musicians who have made cameos, including the Rolling Stones, U2, Paul McCartney, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Aerosmith, Britney Spears, Smashing Pumpkins, REM and Elton John.
