News: Burger King, Tony Blair and the All Mighty Simpsons

Simpsons News — Posted 01 Nov, 2002 by MrBurns

Hey fans, well Halloween is over but Burger King is still dishing out the Creepy Classics toys. With that in mind, Burger King has officially released word that they will be doing a promotion this month with the 'Homer Simpson X-Treme Bacon and Cheese Whopper'. Commercials have already been made as Homer Simpson winning the “Springfield Cook-off” with his favorite burger, the X-Treme Bacon and Cheese Whopper. The press release also states that "there’s more Springfield-inspired excitement in the weeks and months to come." so stay tuned. You can read the full Press Release Here.

Tony Blair is being lined up to be the next guest voice on the Simpsons. Nothing complete yet but "The Prime Minister, who has confessed the US cartoon programme is often watched at No10, has been asked by its executive producers to be the next guest voice." as the story goes. Read the official word Here.

Finally a really cool story about bridging the age gaps with the Simpsons. Most adults usually look at cartoons and try to remember those that they grew up with. This is not the fact with the Simpsons. Whether it be that most adults remember watching the show when they were younger or the actual fresh comedy satire to fit all age groups, the show is one to be HAILED. The article also talks about the upcoming episodes of when Homer goes to Rock n Roll camp and the upcoming Halloween Episode. Read the full story and get all the info by Clicking Here.

An intoxicated Homer ends up on "Taxicab Conversations," confessing that he regrets giving up his rock-star dreams. The family chips in to send him to rock 'n' roll camp, a reward for his patience over the years. "You take me to places you hate," Lisa says, "like museums, plays and Olive Garden."

Once at camp, Homer mixes it up with some of music's biggest legends, most of whom are obviously giddy to be a part of "The Simpsons" legacy. Mick Jagger, as the camp's diligent headmaster, is a particular treat, teaching the campers how to strut in style. When Homer rips off Elvis Costello's glasses, the rocker gasps: "My image!!!"
----
"Send in the Clones." By the end of the story, hundreds of Homers of all shapes and sizes roaming the landscape. Look carefully and you may spot a recognizable figure: It's Peter Griffin, from Fox's now-defunct "Family Guy,"
