The Simpsons coming to Channel Four!

Hey hey all you UK Simpsons fans! Unless you've been living under a rock for the past six months, you'll know that the BBC no longer own the rights to The Simpsons, and Channel Four have now bought those rights - for approximately half a million pounds per episode!

And tomorrow night (Friday 5th), Channel Four launch the show with a whole night of Simpsons-themed entertainment! The fun starts at 9.00pm with two new-to-terrestial episodes, "A Tale of Two Springfields" and "Treehouse of Horror XI". At 10.00 is a special documentary, "The Ultimate Guide to The Simpsons".

And following this at 11.05 is what will be the highlight of my evening: "The Simpsons Quiz". Hosted by Jamie Theakston, the show tests the Simpsons expertise of six celebrities: Sara Cox, Ralf Little and Richard Bacon (Team 1); and Nick Frost, Iain Lee and Krishnan Guru-Murphy (Team 2) - and it's very, very funny! How do I know? Because I went to the filming of it! A definite must-see for all UK fans.

If you watch Channel Four regularly, you might have noticed the various adverts and clips they've shown. In addition, they showed "break bumpers" - short splash images shown just before an advert break - which were Simpsons pictures made up of the Channel Four logo.
