Hey fans, at ComicCon fans were told a breif run-down of an upcoming episode in the next season. Seems Springfield will legalize gay marriages and one of the characters in the show will be "out"ed of the closet. No word whether it'll be Smither, shown here on the cover of Genre Magazine; a popular magazine in the gay community.
Al Jean added: “Homer becomes a minister by going on the internet and filling out a form. A long-time character comes out of the closet but I’m not saying who.”
The last big mystery over a Simpsons plot came when a character was killed off — it turned out to be Maude, the wife of Homer Simpson’s relentlessly cheerful neighbour, Ned Flanders, who once opened a shop for left-handed people. Read the Full Article Here.
The Simpsons' seems to be Britain's favorite comic series and it is apparently not only Homer and Marge, but the grumpy Moe, who has also found favour with the audiences.
According to The Sun, Moe from The Simpsons won 20 per cent votes in a national survey of 500 pub managers beating EastEnders' Alfie Moon to the title of TV's most popular bar boss.
The ambidextrous Moe who could handle everything from barfly Barney Grumble to Bart's prank phone calls impressed respondents.

Here's a fun story for all you fans. Bob Chambers, a huge fan of Simpsons, had his wedding a la' Simpsons style when he married his bride with him dressed as Homer and she as Marge. According to The Sun, 44-year-old Bob, a cement worker, painted his bald bonce yellow, put on a goatee and wore Homer's trademark blue trousers and white short-sleeved shirt.
His 33-year-old bride Jane Butterworth wore a two-foot-long woollen replica of Marge's famous beehive, with her characteristic orange necklace. The two got married at the Derby register office. "The Simpsons has been a big part of my life and it was only right it was so influential on our big day," Bob was quoted as saying. Read.

Fox is planning a special edition of The Simpsons with a lineup of sports stars for its 2005 Super Bowl halftime show, Daily Variety said Thursday.
The paper said the network would announce that Michelle Kwan, LeBron James, Yao Ming and Warren Sapp would appear in the special, called Homer and Ned's Hail Mary Pass. The storyline has Homer inventing a wildly popular dance, and then being hired by top athletes to teach it to them to use as a victory dance. It all leads to a gig as Super Bowl halftime show choreographer.
Homer gets his straight-laced neighbor Ned Flanders to help out, and the result -- said Variety -- is a nonviolent, deeply meaningful halftime show that America chastises for its blatant display of decency.
The idea is meant as a joke on CBS' halftime show last February, in which Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction left her right breast exposed and the nation worked up about broadcast decency standards. Read Here.
Animated comedy heroine Lisa Simpson is to cry aloud for Cornwall's independence from Britain in a special Christmas episode of "The Simpsons," says the group that's been asked to give her some Cornish lessons.
Matthew Clarke, of the Cornish Language Fellowship, said he was contacted last week by the producers of the hit US cartoon series who wanted a translation of the phrase "Freedom for Cornwall now".
Advocates of Cornish independence regard it as a separate nation, possessing a separate culture, identity and language, and claim that there are constitutional doubts as to the legitimacy of English rule in Cornwall.
Cornish - a Celtic dialect similar to Welsh and Breton, recognised formally by the European Union in 2002 - is thought to be spoken fluently by just 300 or 400 people, although up to 10,000 people are thought to understand a little. Read it here or here.
