When will I learn? The answers to life’s problems aren’t at the bottom of a bottle. They’re on TV!— Homer
Another animatic clip was included as a special feature on the Complete Ninth Season DVD set, released in December 2006. As with the first animatics, Homer introduces it.
Hi, I'm Homer Simpson. Don't tell FOX, but here's an unfinished scene from The Simpsons Movie. It's a work in progress, so I don't want anyone asking stupid questions, like ‘Hey, what happened to the color?’ So...
At this point the movie logo on screen fades to black-and-white. Hey! What happened to the color?!
Homer and Marge look on at a silo in their garden, labelled 'PIG CRAP'.
I don't think that's what silos are for,
insists Marge.
Are you questioning my farming skills?
asks Homer.
Marge notices something. Homer, it's leaking.
It's not leaking, it's overflowing.
He filled up the whole silo in just two days?
Well, I helped.
He heads back inside the house.
Homer, stop!
Marge calls forcefully. I know it's easy for your mind to wander...
We see a monkey clapping cymbals inside Homer's head. ...but I want you to really concentrate on me,
she implores.
The monkey stops and points at Marge, instructing Homer to listen.
God spoke to us for a reason,
Marge continues. I'm not quite sure what that reason is, but I'm asking you: please dispose of that waste properly.
Homer pauses for a second, then comes around. Okay, Marge.
At Springfield River, the area is crowded with 'NO DUMPING' signs. Homer drives straight through them, with the silo strapped to the roof of his car. He runs down a series of increasingly importune signs:
WE MEAN IT
PLEASE RECONSIDER
HAVE YOU NO HEART?
STOP DAMMIT STOP
WHY MUST YOU DO THIS?
YOU'RE KILLING US, DUDE
BASTARD!!
He reaches the riverbank. This feels right,
he remarks, as he cuts the ropes and dumps the silo.
