This first teaser, released in March 2006, served mainly as a confirmation that The Simpsons Movie was underway. It doesn't contain any movie footage.
The teaser starts with a Superman logo on screen, with the voiceover:
In 2007, leaping his way onto the silver screen: the greatest hero in American history.
The camera pans out to reveal Homer sitting on the couch, wearing a Superman T-shirt.
I forgot what I was supposed to say!
he laments.
The Simpsons Movie
is announced, with yellow text on a purple background. Opening worldwide July 27th, 2007.
Uh-oh,
Homer says, We better get started.
Mr. Burns' Excellent
is also heard at the end.
