New Episode 03/28/04: The Wandering Juvie

The family is at a downtown department store, where among other things Lisa looks at the latest in fashion for young girls, Marge gets some rejuvenating cream, Homer uses the dressing room for something other than trying clothes on, and Seymour and Edna are selecting some wedding china. Bart uses the wedding gift registry to sign himself and his bride "Lotta Cooties" for wedding presents. He invites a number of people to attend his wedding and he plans to return all the unused gifts for store credit. He gets all the gifts delivered but he gets caught by Chief Wiggum. The judge sentences Bart to six months of juvenile detention. Continue...

Homer's Diet Slammed..Doh!

The latest celebrity diet to make headlines won't soon be converting the Atkins-obsessed masses. Particularly since it belongs to the portly patriarch of TV's favourite dysfunctional family, The Simpsons.

The Homer Simpson diet, which is analysed in a new study from Rutgers University, is based on a staple of fats, sweets, alcohol, doughnuts and salty or fatty snacks.

After analysing 63 random episodes of The Simpsons, Rutgers researchers found Homer not only eats more often than the other characters, but also talks about food more, eats greater quantities at meal time, and is less active. New Episode 03/21/04: Co-Dependent's Day

New episode on the night of 3/21/04. Homer, Lisa and Bart get tickets for the latest chapter of "Cosmic Wars." The movie wasn't what they hoped it would be. Marge suggests that the kids write a letter expressing their dissatisfaction to creator Randall Curtis. Two weeks later when they get a stock letter in reply and they ask if they can go to the "Cosmic Wars Ranch" and complain in person. The family (sans Maggie) goes to Northern California. While Marge and Homer go on a winery tour, Bart and Lisa go to the ranch to find the creator and make their feelings known. After Bart and Lisa have their meeting with Curtis they rejoin their parents, who they find are both drunk on free samples they had at the winery. Marge and Homer are really enjoying their wine together, but following one their nights of drinking Marge finds her with a hangover. They agree that she can stop drinking and they can still have fun together. Continue...

Ricky Gervais will appear in The Simpsons after all

Ricky Gervais has confirmed that he will make an appearance in The Simpsons.

It was widely reported that Gervais had turned down a part in the show, which he later denied.

He's now told Heat magazine that he will voice a character.

Gervais recently met Simpsons creator Matt Groenig who told him he was a massive fan of The Office.

"I asked what the hours were like. He said they were easy. So, of course, I said I'd love to," he said. -Ananova.com.

At more than 6ft tall with blue hair, a lazy husband, chain smoking sisters and wayward children, Marge Simpson might not appear the obvious role model.

But a survey by the Mothers' Union shows the nation's young people think she is the best mum in the public eye.

Nearly a quarter of children said that the hen-pecked, long-suffering star of The Simpsons set the best example of how to be a mother, with Sharon Osbourne, a member of another dysfunctional family, also a popular choice. Read Article.

Sneak Preview for the Art Collectors

Hey art fans, some very cool sneak previews of up and coming limited edition art that is going to be released by the Fox art dept. this year. Remember that these are the limited edition art and not the productions cels which Fox also releases every year. First off we have the "Burns Classic" sericel. Approximate size of this piece 33.5" x 10.5" and is very similar style to the "Happy Hour" sericel which was released in 2001. It features a panoramic view of a golf tournament and features a wonderful array of characters.

Next up is the very cool "Directors' Edition Part Two" print giclee. This piece is the follow up to the popular sold out first "Directors' Edition." Each piece will have an original hand-drawn character and signature by Simpsons directors around a colorful print giclee image of the current Simpsons coming face to face with the original "Tracy Ullman Era" Simpsons in a funhouse mirror. Remember that these preview are very rough sketches, are not colorized and may even change before the final release. As always we'll keep you updated.
