Hey fans, some news circulating about the Playmates Toys World of Springfield series sets. It has been reported that Playmates' license with Fox to produce Simpsons merchandise will terminate at the end of this year. The final year before the license expires will hopefully still bring 1 or 2 more sets of figures and environments as well as 1 more Halloween THOH and possibly one other exclusive to Toys R Us. Although we are sad to hear the news we understand that it was bound to happen. For collectors this is of course a con that the line is ending but a plus that the value of series' released will go up. We'll keep you updated.
