Newswire from the Adam at The Simpsons Channel.
After Hello magazine published a tidbit on David Beckham scoring a role in The Simpsons, we were quick to follow and so did countless other British media sources. It was inevitable that the creators of The Simpsons would hear this eventually, and Al Jean was just as shocked to hear the news as we were. David Beckham WILL NOT appear in The Simpsons. The producer took time out to personally inform snpp.com contributor Jonah Flynn that Beckham had not scored a cameo and any information saying otherwise is 100% untrue. A week's worth of chatter is probably enough to keep the rumor alive for years, so be sure to spread the word.
Krusty the Clown never had a bar mitzvah. It’s a startling confession "Simpsons" fans will hear this Sunday when the Springfield celebrity discovers he doesn’t have a star on the town’s Jewish Walk of Fame.
In the episode, "Today, I Am a Clown," written by Joel H. Cohen, the sardonic Krusty turns to his Orthodox father, Rabbi Hyman Krustofsky (guest voice Jackie Mason), and Mr. T for help.
Rabbi Krustofsky returns to help his son study for his big day — which he originally opposed for the young Hershel, fearing that he might make a mockery out of it. When Krusty realizes that his show’s shooting schedule has him working on Shabbat, he brings in Homer Simpson as a guest host. Read.
We reported not too long ago that world famous soccer player David Beckham was rejected by Simpsons producers to be a guest on the show (Read). Looks like they changed their minds. The 28-year-old Real Madrid star is set to take a cameo role as himself in the cartoon series.
The decision to feature him is a U-turn for the show's makers who just eight months said he wasn't well enough known to be offered a part.
Executive producer Al Jean said at the time: "We thought about Becks but soccer isn't big in the States. He's not really famous enough. I've heard of him because my daughter plays soccer."
Producers changed their mind after Beckham and wife Victoria (Posh Spice) raised their profile in the US with a publicity tour of New York and Los Angeles in the summer. Read the story Here.

Hey fans, our good friend Debbie from Wonderful World of Animation did some Simpson shopping for us at a local grocery store in the UK and found this. Presenting Bart's Eat My Shorts cereal from the Kellogg's company. The cereal is shaped in shorts and are "frosted golden syrup flavour" and are full multi-grain. On the back of the box are a few word games for the kids. We haven't found these in the US and it seems that this item is only available in your local grocery store in the UK. This is not the first time Kelloggs has released Simpson-themed cereals, we're sure to see more in the future.
This weekend's episode, The Fat and the Furriest, could result in Grandpa Simpson being accused of infringing on someone else's domain name.
As you can see from the snap of the TV picture Grandpa is fulminating about how the whole world has gone to rack and ruin.
To that end Grandpa Simpson apparently set up his own web site, oldcoot.com.
But unfortunately that domain is registered to a real person, Samuel L. Bowman, based in Sharpsville, IN, who operates a business called Granpabusiness.com. Read the story here.
It's probably the closest thing that you'll get to a life size Homer (except for maybe the 8ft blow-up Skelton and Santa Homers) and Spencers Gifts is the place you can get him. We're talking about the new action taking BBQ Homer. Standing 4ft tall this Homer will sing and say all your favorite Homerisms all while moving his hips, arms and head. BBQ Homer is dressed in a BBQ apron, Cooks hat and cooking mits with the left hand holding a full size spatula. This is an amazing item but it doesn't come cheap as it sells for $150.00. These are in limited supply and your local Spencers Gifts may even have to special order for you. Definately for the major hard-core collector.
It is Mother's Day and Homer goes with the kids to Sprawl-Mart to buy Marge a better gift. They find Abe working there as a greeter and Lisa asks her aunts to help them pick out a gift. Patty and Selma recommend the Kitchen Carnival, which makes food fun. Marge likes the gift, which can deep fry, make cotton candy and caramelize anything. Later that night, Homer creates an xx lb. sugar ball and he seems to fall in love with his new creation. Marge insists that he get rid off of the ball, which he takes to the dump. At the dump he gets attacked by a bear. He returns home and finds that his attack was covered by the media. He's been labeled a coward and it begins to affect his life. Too combat his fear he needs to attack the bear that bested him, and he constructs a bear attack proof suit. Marge forbids him from using the suit, but he goes anyway. With help from Lenny, Carl, and Bart, Homer goes out into the woods in search of the bear. Of course when he actually encounters the bear, he is without the suit. The bear takes Homer to his cave and Homer removes the tag from the bear that was causing it discomfort. He bonds with the bear and tries to keep it from being hunted. He lends the bear his bear proof suit and it helps to get him to the wildlife sanctuary, where the bear is free to be attacked by other animals.
