Robert Thompson, director of the Center for the Study of Popular Television at Syracuse University, said parents should be thankful their kids are drawn to The Simpsons.

Shawn Galyen, a minister working with the Georgetown chapter of the Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship, offered his answers to these questions during "The Gospel According to the Simpsons," a discussion sponsored by the University of Virginia Chapter of the Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship.

Bart and Homer Simpson racing on skateboards are poised to boost Christmas sales for Hornby, the British maker of Scalextric and train sets said yesterday after posting bumper first-half results. "We have achieved excellent exposure for our products in time for the important Christmas period," chief executive Frank Martin said.
