Comedy Central's Commie Awards

Hey fans, Comedy Central has released a new awards show called "The Commies" an award by the people for the people. Catagories are all having to do with comedy such as Funniest Actor, Funniest Actress, Funniest TV Series, Funniest Movie, Funniest Person of the Year.. just to name a few. We recommend you vote since a few of the catagories carries characters from the Simpsons and the Simpsons are up for Funniest TV Series. You'll find Marge under Funniest Wife. Bart and Grandpa are under Funniest Smart Ass and Homer under Funniest Curmudgeon. You can vote today at the Comedy Central wbesite. The show will air Dec. 7th on Comedy Central.

Hey fans, just when you thought you've seen it all we now present to you the Simpsons Bubble Baths. Currently there are two which have been released, Homer and Bart Bubble Bath. We don't know if each has a different spell but each does provide a fizzle action and gives off a nice soapy, snoothing bath. We have also heard of more Simpsons bath products such as skin care and hair products but nothing yet in stores. We'll keep you updated. More Homer Rubber Wall Plaques

Hey fans, last month we announced the soon to be released "Motivational" rubber plaques of Homer and Burns. We now have news that there will be 2 more of these rubber plaques released which feature more "Homerisms". The first features Homer saying "Just Because I Don't Care, Doesn't mean I Don't Understand." The second one (which we like more) features Homer saying "Trying if the First Step Toward Failure". Toronto, ON - September 29, 2003. Fans of The Simpsons, well know for their passion - even fanaticism - for their favourite animated series, are marking their calendars for Saturday October 18, 2003. That's the day Simpsons Mania takes place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Fans and collectors will have an opportunity to view and purchase original artwork actually used in making The Simpsons. Hundreds of pieces of art, including animator's drawings, hand-painted cels, and extremely rare storyboards, model sheets and backgrounds will be on display.

Wes Archer, one of the original directors of The Simpsons, will be the special guest. With his many years of work on The Simpsons, as well as King of the Hill and Futurama, Archer offers a wealth of insight and fascinating behind-the-scenes stories of the making of The Simpsons. Rumors from Producer Reiss

Rumor-base website Dark Horizons has posted a small story about Producer Mark Reiss giving away some interesting rumors about upcoming episodes while touring. "There's been deaths, scandals, crushes, etc. Now apparently at an Angelo State University lecture last night, Producer Mike Reiss revealed one of the main characters would have "gay sex" this season but NOT one of the kids. There's also a slim chance of the now-cancelled "Futurama" characters appearing." Whether or not these are true or Mark is pulling our leg is still up in the air. All we can do is wait and see.

Push Up Puppets Out and About

Hey fans, a quick update on some items which we reported on before. The items are Fun 4 All's Push Up Puppets. There are 4 figures in the series which include Bart, Homer, Barney and Burns. We didn't have a chance to find Barney and we believe that he may be a harder one to find out of the bunch. We picked them up from our local Aahs store for $6.99 each but we also suspect that you can find these at your local Spencers Gifts as well.

Product Updates: Be Sharps, Bendies and More

Hey fans, some brief updates on products for all you shoppers out there. The first is the sightings of the TRU Exclusive Be Sharps Environment. Finally the home for all your Mail-Away Be Sharp figures is here. The set can already be found on such places as eBay but will also be eventually be in stock at your local TRU and at Amazon.com.

Next up is the next series in the NJ Croce bendies sets. This release is Krusty studios which includes Krusty, Sideshow Bob, Bart, Sideshow Mel and more, has been spotted out in stores as well. This is the 4th in the bendies series.

Finally, rumors about the next series of the World of Springfield Diorama sets being cancelled is spreading. The first wave featured the re-release of such characters as Homer, Marge, Grandpa, Krusty and Apu. While the second wave was supposed to have Burns and Smithers, with the news of cancellation, this set may be sent out to stores for pre-orders already taken but only with the next wave of the first series shipments.
