Homerpalooza Episode Makes On Funniest Moments in Music

Everyone remembers it, the classic Homerpalooza episode. Now the episode gets another honor by being on VH1's Top 50 Greatest Funny Moments in Music. Coming at Number 2 and for a good reason since the episode featured great bands and guests. Who was Number 1 then? The one and only Spinal Tap which features Harry Shearer, the voice of such characters as Burns and Smithers. We just had to tie it into the Simpsons somehow. Edna..er..Marcia Wallace's Fight Against Cancer

When she discovered a lump in her breast as a young woman, a terrified Marcia Wallace returned to her hometown and her trusted Uncle Jimmy, the doctor, to have it removed. While the lump was benign, the experience served as practice for the day years later when Wallace actually was diagnosed with breast cancer. Entitled "Don't Look Back, We're Not Going That Way," Wallace's book covers her painful childhood, her career — she's appeared on stage, in films and television shows, including Taxi, Murphy Brown, Seventh Heaven and Providence, winning an Emmy for her role as Ms. Edna Krabapple on The Simpsons — her midlife marriage, and cancer. Now a breast cancer advocate who speaks on behalf of the Komen Foundation, Wallace says it was sharing her story with family and friends that evolved first into her advocacy, and later her book. Mr Dovey's letter in the Star, "Are we capable of fulfilment without some divine aid?" (The Star, September 15), raises some interesting points. He says astrology is capable of being an accepted science because it is offered as a degree at reputable British and American universities. New Applause Plush Toys Released

Just when you thought that you couldn't get enough of those great Applause Simpsons plush toys, we're pleased to announce the recent release of three more from the line. The new ones just released are Milhouse, Krusty and Chief Wiggum. Milhouse and Krusty are 12inches tall while Wiggum is 13inches and comes in a box. None of these talk but are still fun to have to add to the collection. And the Emmy Goes To...

Hey fans, the 2003 Emmy awards were handed out Sept. 13th but will be telecast on Fox on Sept. 21st. Emmy.tv has officially announced the winners though on their website. The Simpsons were nominated for Outstanding Animated Program (For Programming Less Than One Hour)and after 14 years they can still pull off winning the Emmy... as if we had any doubt. Other nominees were Futurama, As Told by Ginger, Kim Possible and Spongebob Squarepants. We here congratulate all of those involved in this season's win.
