Hey fans, there's a new talking Homer cookie jar out from the good people at Gemmy. Gemmy has brought us the dancing Homers and talking dashboard Homer in the past. This item is the newest and so far the best we've seen from them. Just tilt his head and Homer spouts out one of nine Homeresque phrases like "Why don't you start your diet tomorrow," and "Feeling stupid? I know I am!". Cookie jar is made of durable plastic. It measures 12" x 5 1/2" and requires 2 AA batteries which come included. The MSRP for this item is $29.99 and come be found at your local novelty stores now.
It has been revealed that the Complete Ninth Season of The Simpsons will be released on DVD on December 19th, just in time for Christmas.
While no box art has been released yet, the set is believed to feature Lisa, following on from the themed sets from Seasons 6 thru 8. We'll bring you more news about the set and its special features as soon as we get it.
From Remote Control - The third episode of this season of “The Simpsons” was the best one yet. I was so excited to finally laugh for an entire half hour. Especially at the joke about Milhouse being allergic to his own tears—and then crying.
Then I found out the news that the show will be out on break until November. Stupid baseball.
After Homer bought a set of do-it-yourself books at a trip to an abandoned mall in Springfield (probably modeled after Tucson’s El Con Mall), Marge found another calling: carpentry. Bart gave her a great compliment: “You’d be like the Jesus of carpenters!”
The battle of the sexes became the focus when the town refused to let a woman do their carpentry work. So Homer became the face of Marge’s new business, taking all the credit, and then having to restore the town’s old rollercoaster on his own when Marge is hurt by Homer’s lack of giving credit where it’s due.
The show’s other battle was another chapter in the fisticuffs between Bart and Principal Skinner. Bart found out Skinner was allergic to peanuts, and used it to get the principal to eat trash and embarrass himself on the school intercom. It ended with a spoof of the battle between Obi-wan Kenobi and Darth Maul in the first “Star Wars” prequel, complete with John Williams’ music. Awesome.
News Corp. president Peter Chernin told a wireless-industry convention his company would produce original episodes of Fox hit show The Simpsons for mobile phones and then "market the hell out of it."
Chernin said as a CTIA Wireless IT and Entertainment keynote speaker here that the new episodes of the Fox comedy -- now in its 18th season on the air -- would come out of his company's new investment in mobile-video producer Jamba.
In announcing News Corp.'s $188 million agreement to buy control of Jamba from VeriSign Monday, the media giant said Jamba's expanded offerings would include The Simpsons Mobile, selling content such as clips and ring tones from the show.
As for the original episodes that Chernin said could be ready before the end of the year, he did not offer many details. Series executive producer James L. Brooks was in attendance, and he told a reporter afterward that those details were still being worked out. Brooks did indicate that the new originals would likely be shorter than the 22-minute episodes fans are familiar with from TV.

How cool is that?!
The Simpsons episode The Seemingly Never-Ending Story won the Emmy for "Outstanding Animated Program (for Programming Less Than One Hour)". It beat competition from Family Guy, Camp Lazlo, Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends, and the controversial Scientology-mocking episode of South Park, Trapped in the Closet.
In his acceptance speech, Simpsons executive producer Al Jean joked: "This is what happens when you don't mock Scientology."
It is now the ninth Emmy the show has won. The wins are:

1998: Trash of the Titans
