Smithers explains to Marge why he puts up with Mr. Burns: Actually, I value every moment we're together, from when I squeeze his orange juice in the morning, to when I tuck him in at night.

Burns talks about dogs: Dogs are idiots! Think about it, Smithers. If I came into your house and started sniffing at your crotch and slobbering all over your face, what would you say? Smithers replies, If you did it, sir?

During the nuclear meltdown scare, Waylon confesses his love for his boss. Burns remarks, Thank you for making my last few moments on Earth socially awkward. Shortly after, Burns concedes that there's nothing left to do but kiss my sorry ass goodbye. Smithers asks, May I, sir?
Treehouse of Horror III
During the King Homer segment, Monty asks Smithers' opinion on hiring Marge. I think women and seamen don't mix. is the reply.
Marge Gets a Job
Smithers remembers a dream he had about Burns. He is in bed, and his boss flies in through the window.
Rosebud
It is Mr. Burns' birthday. Burns mourns the notion he won't get what he wants. No-one does, Waylon replies, imagining a naked Burns jumping out of a cake and singing Happy Birthday, Mr. Smithers.
Later, he tries to cheer up Burns by dressing in a bear suit. It's me, sir, Bobo! he says. Hug me, squeeze me, tug at my fur!
Marge on the Lam
Burns and Smithers attend the ballet. Burns says, Bah! Far too much dancing, not nearly enough prancing! Smithers replies: A little mincing would be nice.
Bart's Inner Child
At the Do What You Feel Festival, Burns and Smithers enjoy a so-called iced cream. Smithers confesses him love: Sir, in the spirit of the festival and everything, I'd just like to say that I... love you. He quickly adds, In those colors! Aside, he whispers, Oh, who am I kidding? The boathouse was the time!
Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy
Smithers turns on his computer to print some information for Lisa. A half-naked image of Burns appears on screen, with some spliced sound bites saying, Hello. Smithers. You're. Quite. Good. At. Turning. Me. On.
Secrets of a Successful Marriage
At Homer's marriage class, Smithers reveals that he was once married, but couldn't keep it together. His flashback parodies Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, a story about a husband having marital problems because he is gay.
Lady Bouvier's Lover
Smithers displays a lot of envy as his boss is courting Mrs. Bouvier.
Burns asks Smithers to help him writing a love poem. He recites off-the-cuff: Darling one, read my words and hear my heart speak of a love soft and undying: a love that will be with you always. Sincerely, yatta, yatta, yatta. Waylon explains how he came up with it so quickly: I sent it to you on your birthday. Mr. Burns, however, isn't listening.

Smithers comments that Sideshow Bob's ultra-conservative views conflict with his choice of lifestyle.
Fear of Flying
Moe takes Homer's favourite song out of the jukebox - It's Raining Men. He throws it out the window, where it lands in Smithers' car. He is quite pleased to receive it. Though maybe this scene also says something about Homer...
Who Shot Mr. Burns? - Part Two
During his confession, Waylon comments he once tried to march in the St. Patrick's Day parade. Some cities in the US banned homosexual groups from marching in the parade.
Mother Simpson
Smithers has taped over Burns' Ride of the Valkyries with ABBA's Waterloo.
Homer the Smithers
Smithers goes on holiday to what looks like a gay resort. In all his scenes, only men can be seen in the background, and in the conga line. When Smithers realizes Burns is in trouble (his women's intuition?) he is driving a speedboat and pulling a pyramid of men in trunks behind him.
Bart on the Road
When offered a sweet, Smithers states that he is quite partial to Jolly Ranchers.

Burns assumes Smithers will be doing something gay, no doubt, over the weekend, by which he means lighthearted, fancy-free, mothers lock up your daughters, Smithers is on the town! Smithers nervously agrees.

Smithers is photographed leaving the Maison Derriere. He explains to Burns, My parents insisted I give it a try.

He appears on The Simpson Family Smile-Time Variety Hour, flamboyantly dressed, with male backing dancers, and brandishing a liquorice whip.
Bart Star
In Homer's flashback, a young Smithers commentates on the gymnastics. He says excitedly, Well, that's the end of the girls' floor exercises, now let's bring on the men!
Lisa The Skeptic
As everyone thinks the end of the world is nigh, Smithers kisses his boss. He later points out it was merely a sign of his respect. Burns is not so sure, and keeps his eye on him.
The Joy of Sect
Mr. Burns asks, You see me as a God, right, Smithers?
Absolutely, sir! Smithers replies.
You'd kneel before me? He replies, excitedly, Boy, would I!
This Little Wiggy
Bart, Ralph and Lisa fire Bart's toy rocket towards the prison, to warn them about the electric chair. However, it misses and lands in Mr. Burns' office. He says, there's a rocket in my pocket. Smithers replies, You don't have to tell me, sir.

During the In the Navy musical number, Smithers is seen dancing with The Village People.
The Trouble with Trillions
Smithers is seen wearing a pink bathrobe, ironing and singing.
When You Dish Upon a Star
Among the townspeople showing up at the movie stars' hideout is Smithers, who asks about Kim Basinger's shoes from L.A. Confidential, unconvincingly stating he wants a pair for his mother.
D'oh-in' in the Wind
Burns, trying to open a garlic pickle jar, remarks, No one will want to kiss me after these, eh Smithers? to which Smithers replies, It's their loss, sir.
The Old Man and The 'C' Student
On Mr. Burns' boat, Smithers draws a nude picture of Mr. Burns (Burns is fully clothed), much like in Titanic. Smithers remarks that he was discharged from the Navy (for more on that joke, watch Simpson Tide).
Monty Can't Buy Me Love
After Burns concludes that no one likes him, Smithers says, I... like you, sir in a romantic kind of way.
Homer Vs. Dignity
Mr. Burns says to Homer in this episode: You're much more fun than Smithers. He doesn't even know the meaning of the word 'gay'! At which point we cut to Smithers performing a musical about his Malibu Stacey dolls in the West End.

At Burns' suggestion to go womanizing, Smithers unenthusiastically remarks woopee.
Smithers suggests that Gloria (Burns' date) wear a petticoat, and knows a place which rents them (he has their business card, too).
The Blunder Years
Burns reveals that he told Smithers when he was younger that his father was killed by a tribe of Amazonian women, and hopes it didn't affect him in any way. We'll never know, he replies.

Smithers' voice is heard and his arm seen on the "in the closet" float of the gay pride parade.
