News on Products and More...

Simpsons News — Posted 14 Feb, 2003 by MrBurns

Hey fans, some news for you to use. First off we have some news on the new Applause Plush Toys we announced previously about from our Diamond previews in December. From Yahoo! Biz there is news of "Applause, the gift and plush industry leader, and Fox Licensing & Merchandising (Fox L&M) have joined forces to launch the first ever collection of limited edition THE SIMPSONS plush dolls with exclusive international distribution rights.
The first launch, which became available in January 2003, featured talking Homer and Bart plush with collectible keychains and stands. The second wave of plush dolls spotlights the Simpsons family including Marge, Lisa and Maggie. It will also include the episodic characters of Bartman, Little Miss Springfield, and Radioactive Man. Additional characters will be released throughout 2003, surrounding key seasonal special days, including Father's Day, Halloween and Christmas, and will be available at specialty retail outlets. "

CNN Entertainment recently did a story on supposedly the "World's largest Simpsons Fan." Rob Davidman, the fan, has items from the WoS collection as well as other collectibles such as the DVD sets, Magazines and a production cel. Our question is whether or not this really makes Rob the biggest fan. We hear at Simpson Crazy know a lot of people who have those items if not more. We know fans who have watched the show since the Ullman era and never miss a show now. Does this really constitute the world's biggest Simpson fan? We certainly don't think so. If that were the fact than 1/2 the people who visit this site would be that.
