As the 300th episode approaches, Entertainment Weekly has decided to review the episodes over the past 13 seasons and pick the top 25 (and 1 of the worst) in their opinion. Ranking at #1 is "Last Exit to Springfield" Don't agree?.. well EW says that they chose it as #1 because "Here's the thing: ''The Simpsons'' is all about subatomic degrees of brilliance. Is ''Last Exit'' that much better than ''Cape Feare'' or ''Duffless''? Not really. We can't tell you that it has the single best joke or visual gag in the show's history. But we can say that this episode is virtually flawless, the product of a series at the height of its creative powers -- when the satire was savage and relevant, when names like John Swartzwelder, George Meyer, and Conan O'Brien were relatively unknown, when Maude Flanders lived." ... and there you have it.
Ranking at #2 is "Rosebud" followed by "Care Feare" at #3. "Marge vs. the Monorail" hits #4 with "Homer's Phobia" at #5. The worst episode chosen was "Bart to the Future".. you know, the episode where Bart sees his future while at an Indian Casino.
