Simpsons News — Posted 29 Aug, 2002 by MrBurns

Hey fans, some cool new updates heading your way. First off we have the news that the "Life in the Fast Lane" exclusive and the TRU THOH 3 Exclsuives are out in some stores. As usual these will fly quickly off the shelves (and probably quicker onto Ebay) so get yours while they last in the stores. Remember that the first TRU Exclusive THOH is now worth over $100, woohoo!

A new first looks for you all of the New Years 2003 Environment. This playset was rumored to be cancelled on and off even during the time that Amazon.com was taking pre-orders for it. It's pretty safe to say that it WILL be released as scheduled but since noone has actually gotten one in hand, you never know; we hope for the best. Anyways, hit those stores and we'll keep sending you those updates.

These pre-order pages were quickly taken day after 1-2 days. Even though we are pretty sure the THOH3 and Main Street is still on schedule to be released, it looks like the New Years set MIGHT be put on hold. We'll keep you updated as more information rolls out of Playmates Toys.

Finally, for all you collectors get your hands on a Simpsons production cell while they last. It has been officially announced that starting with Season 14 the show will NOT be done with paint and cels but with computers digitally. This will save time on production on episode and quality will most likely stay the same, if not be better. Right now real Simpson production cels go for anywhere between $300-$700, grab them now as this may raise the price.
