Ten fans in Wales have started a 25-hour marathon watching "The Simpsons." They'll be watching 70 episodes of the cartoon to raise money to send the Welsh Special Needs Power Lifting Team to the World Championships in Dublin, Ireland.
They hope to raise about $1,500.

"A British Christian group last month hosted a Ned Flanders Day, complete with look-alike contest and a performance by the satirical band Ned Zeppelin. And on this side of the Atlantic, a Simpsons study guide that ties certain episodes to lessons of faith was released in August." Hey party people, some news for you today. There was an article written today about "Jumping the Shark", a term used when a TV Show has been on TV way too long for its own good. " ER did it when George Clooney left the show. The Price Is Right did it when Bob Barker stopped dyeing his hair. Moonlighting, Frasier and Who's the Boss?: They all did it when their stars finally, well, did it." There's a new book out by an expert in this field, Jon Hein, called "Jump the Shark: When Good Things Go Bad". Two birthdays in 1 week, wow! Happy Birthday to the father of the Simpson family as well as such characters as Willy and Grandpa, Dan Castellaneta. Dan was born Sept. 10th 1958 in Chicago, IL making him 44 this year. Happy Birthday from all of here at Simpson Crazy. Now make a wish and blow out the candles.
Hey guys and gals some brief news updates for all fans out there. First off, the Shift September 2002 Magazine features The Simpsons Generation, talking about well.. people like us! This issue a collectors issue of the magazine which celebrates its 10 year anniversary.
In other news, Yahoo and CNN have both reported the story of the Baseball minor league team in Albuquerque which is to be named The Isotopes. That's right, Homer's worst fear of the team moving out of Springfield has come true. Most of the news is reporting how much the profits will be by the team just using that name. We know we're gonna by a jersey just for fun here and they expect many other fans to do the same... good marketing stragedy!

Hey fans, we've got some great item updates for you. First off we have gotten the word that Amazon has posted the picture for the Big Ol' Box for the collection of Guide to Springfield books. There are 3 in the set which in total cover up to the 12th season. The next item up is the Simpsons Fridge Alarm clock. This clock has 6 phrases programmed into it and the fridge has a light inside it for the night. It is an alarm clock so it does have a snooze.
Next up is the two new dancing Homers which are already out on the market. The first is a Santa Homer which sings Jingle Bells and other phrases. The other is Rapper Homer which also says phrases and sings Rappers Delight. These are the extra releases made after the popularity of the Hula Homer and white/gold suite Homer. Each of these is approx. 12 inches tall.
The final products we have for you is some new stuff we found in our local Hot Topic. These include a Simpsons Carshade and Simpsons Tissues. When we were in the store Hot Topic was also having a sale on a few of these items so stop in if you have one next door, you may get something for a fairly good price. A new news article written by the good people at Cinescape Movies indicates that from a recent interview with Harry Shearer that a Simpson movie may be expected in 3 years. Here's a snip of the article: "In a recent interview, political satirist, radio-host, actor and SIMPSONS voice Harry Shearer hinted progress on a big screen adventure for THE SIMPSONS might be creeping forward.
