Let the Show End? NEVER!

Simpsons News — Posted 11 Jun, 2002 by MrBurns

Just when you thought that the fans were the biggest ones worried about the show coming to an end soon, think again! Nancy Cartwright, best known for being the voice of Bart, is actually suggesting that the show go on FOREVER! "I just want to say right now we are in season 14, and I am on a personal campaign of 'Simpsons' forever," Cartwright told The Associated Press.
"There's no reason why the show can't go on forever, as long as the writing holds up to what it was that Matt Groening established from the very beginning," Cartwright continued.
You can read the full story by clicking here. Will Cartwright succeed in convincing Fox and Groening to keep the show running forever? and, do fans WANT the show to go on forever? We say.. YES! MAYBE! (you figure it out)

HUGE Playmates Toys Update

Simpsons News — Posted 06 Jun, 2002 by MrBurns

Once again it's time to see what the people at Playmates Toys are up to with the WoS Line. We already had drawings and the list of the upcoming sets and now we finally have the Promo pics for these sets as well as the very popular waited Main Street.

Let's actually start with the Main Street Set. The set will most likely include Crazy Old Man and Sqeaky Voice Teen. It features the outside of such places as Moes, Lard Lad and the Jazz Hole.

Next on the list is the Series 3 of the Celebs. This is rumored to be the last in the series since all other celebs will be incorporated into the normal series sets. Series 3 includes Albert Brooks as Scorpio, Jim Varney as Cooder and Jon Lovitz as L. Sinclair.

What would a Playmates update be without the preview of the normal series. Now we know that Series 9 is not even out yet ( but will be soon ) but we still would love to show you the Series 10. Series includes: Stonecutter Homer, Sunday's Best Marge and Maggie, Marvin Monroe, Resort Smithers, Scout Leader Flanders and Wendell.

Last we have the preview of Assortment F environments. These include Dr. Nick with Doctor's Office and Pajama Burns with Burns Manor.
Whew! We think that's it for now.

Simpsons News — Posted 01 Jun, 2002 by MrBurns

Well it's official, the minor league team in Albuquerque, NM might be named the Isotopes after the Baseball team from the Episode "Hungery, Hungery Homer". In a poll run by the Albuquerque Tribune to pick a name for the new team, Isotopes was the clear favorite, with 57 percent of the vote, beating out names such as Dukes, Roadrunners and 66ers. Team officials, aware of the possible merchandising bonanza, support the offbeat name.Even Mike Scully is behind the idea of the team name.

Blast to the Past with EBay

Simpsons News — Posted 25 May, 2002 by MrBurns

Hello again fellow collectors. While doing the usual browsing on EBay for collectibles we spotted something we have to share with you. Old Tyme Toy Store, an EBay auctioneer, has collected a HUGE collection of Simpson products FROM AROUND THE WORLD. Not only that but the products are dated from the early 90's when the first show surfaced to today. You can pick up items which you would only find in Japan, Israel, Sweden, Finland, Spain and more. Products range from shirts, sweatshirts, shirts, blankets and shoes to plush toys, pins, posters, pencils, soda cans, stickers, mugs and lunchboxes... just to name a few!!! Prices are very fair compared to how much you would pay in a collectors shop.
Check them out: Here.
