Well fans, if you haven't already heard by either watching E! Entertainment Television or reading it on Yahoo!, Rio is suing The Simpsons for the recent episode "Blame it On Lisa". Rio, Brazil, is suing the show's creator for that episode since they say it made Rio look bad in a tourist aspect especially after the country spent over $18 million the last two years in promoting the country. Rio's O Globo newspaper says Riotur took exception to the parts of the story where: (1) Homer is held for $50,000 ransom by a cab driver; (2) Bart is swallowed whole by a boa constrictor; (3) Marge is "helped" by unhelpful Brazilian police and (4) Lisa, et al, are attacked by mad monkeys.

Hey Simpson fans, Harry Shearer, best known to us as the voice of such characters as Mr. Burns, McBain, Smithers, Ned Flanders, Skinner and more has a movie out! That's right, we just saw it today in Los Angeles at the Sunset 5, a theatre known for playing independent movies. This movie is hilarious with an all star cast. Here's the plot: Harry Shearer's comic romp featuring scathing wit and an all-star cast. A comic junket behind–the–scenes of the world’s most exclusive power–broker retreat. The true story: the richest, most powerful white men in America gather each summer in Northern California for a super secret retreat that takes them back to their sophomore year in college. For fifty-one weeks a year they run the country. For one week they run amok. They're there to unwind, but they get really unwound when that secrecy is threatened.
The movie is now only playing in Los Angeles and New York. For more information we urge you to visit the website http://www.visionboxpictures.com/teddybearspicnic/. You can also catch the trailer on the site.
The band Phish has a cameo in an episode in which Dr. Hibbert prescribes medicinal marijuana for Homer's eye injury, and the resulting joviality nets Homer a promotion from Mr. Burns. - TV Guide
Hey Simpson fans more great Simpsons stuff coming out of the Kelloggs company. We were sent these images by one of our loyal fans about a Simpsons stickers offer. The Simpson cereal box offers a Simpson sticker, one in every box to collect
out of 20 stickers, in each back of the sticker has famous Simpson phrases.
We've already seen Kelloggs involved in other Simpsons promotional items with the release of the two cereal boxes in the U.S. and the most recent release of a Simpsons cereal in the U.K.. No news of this item being found in the U.S. but as always keep an eye out for the actual stickers on such places as EBay.
More news from one of our suppliers, Diamond comics. Following the soon to be released Itchy and Scratchy Lunchbox will be the PinPals lunchbox; definately sure to be a favorite. Like the past 4 this one will include the tin box and the matching Thermos.
Hey fellow fans, good news from Diamond for July. In their recent catalog which resellers like us recieve there were two bedsheets mentioned which are to be released in July 2002. This release has actually been long awaited by us here, Why? Well the pics you see on top are ALL the bedsheets ALREADY available through a German supplier called Happy Toys (in Denmark). The U.S. will only receive the two bigger pics on top. We're guessing that if those two are successful in sales, then Diamond will start to carry more. We'll keep you updated.
Ok people, I decided that I'm going to take a minute to address some issues people are having with this website. First of all I have to say that I would have never expected such actions from people within the Simpson community. Here's what's going on. A small crowd of people are ganging up on this site because it carries the same news as their website does or because their domain is similar to ours. To address the issue of the same news... MANY Simpson websites carry the same news. What about images? If there is a supplier with an image then we get it from them, if it is a borrowed image then we leave all recognitions and watermarks. Ok.. so the question of why do you post the same news as other Simpson website do? The fact is not everyone hits the same Simpson sites, we post news that we find from ALL types of sources and websites, we don't target one site and copy them. Some people could say that we should just tell people to go to the different site, maybe CNN.com should link to stories at MSNBC.com just because they cover the same topic as well?
Look people, we hate being made to look like the bad guy. We take in reasonable suggestions and ideas but we don't respond well to demands and threats. Please don't throw a fit if you don't like the site, there are 100's more out there that you can visit.
This site was setup to inform fans of the show, not to upset other fan sites. The store is being setup with different affiliates to bring fans the show merchandise at one location with fair prices, not to steal your credit cards and personal information.
The person who built this site works closely with people at Fox and a few of the stars of the show. We thought it would be fun to give something to the fans, instead we get complaints and hissy-fits.
We thank the fans that provide us with news and sources and all the fans that continue to use this site for it's primary purpose... to read about our favorite show, The Simpsons.

We will be more than happy to exchange buttons with anyone else and if you feel like lnking to us please feel free to use any of these. Either right-click and save the one you want or just use the image URL underneath each:

It's been out for a little while already but only now have we at Simpson Crazy been able to view the all mighty UK DVD of the Simpsons Film Festival. Yes, this DVD/VHS set is ONLY available in the UK ( but when you know the Simpson people at 20th Century Fox then you can pull a few strings ). In any case the DVD doesn't carry that much material but is still a collectors item in itself not only cause it was only released in the UK but because they are limited edition copies and have a special tribute section to the character Troy McClure.
In other news! The 2nd Season DVD which is going to be out in the US has been rumored to be now out in August and not July or June. We'll keep you updated!
