Jacques and Marge Celebrity 2-Pack #2

Simpsons News — Posted 02 Apr, 2002 by MrBurns

Good news for Albert Brooks fans, the next Celebrity 2-pack will be bowling Marge with Jacques. You may remember this character from one of the very first episodes where Homer gives Marge a bowling ball as a birthday gift and when she goes out to actually bowl our French sneek Jacques "helps" Marge out.
This celebrity 2-pack is the second in its series which is following the Colonel Homer & Beverly D Angelo as Lurleen Lumpkin.

It's All Clear... and #70 isn't that bad.

Simpsons News — Posted 02 Apr, 2002 by MrBurns

Hey Simpson fans, well April Fools day has passed but not without a trick or two coming out of our fellow fans. The biggest one to fool us was Simpsons100.com by announcing that they had decided to close down the site. As we now all know the site just went a change in design and will still be up and running.
Speaking of Simpsons100.com, we've made it on the list. Sure we're not number 1 or even number 10, ah crud we're not even in the top 50, we're actually number 70 but the fact that we made it on the list is what makes us happy anyways.
A few updates about what's going on with us. We will be working on the store later next month and will be putting up missing pages (other than the stores) sometime this month. We want to thank everyone that comes to visit us and we hope you continue to drop in... especially when we start giving away signed stuff. Stay Tuned guys, the best is yet to come!

Whether or not the July 23rd date will stick is still questionable. The DVD is expected to be one of the BIGGEST sellers for Fox and frankly it's no big surprise to us Simpson fans. Learning Math... with the Simpsons- LA Times

Simpsons News — Posted 23 Mar, 2002 by MrBurns

Hey party people. A recent story done by the Los Angeles Times has done a story on how educational in the field of Math the Simpsons show is. How may you ask? Well the article gives a great example:

Take, for example, one 1998 episode in which Homer contemplates buying a 5-pound lobster at $8 per pound. "How many pounds in a gallon?" he wonders.

Two math professors, Andrew Nestler of Santa Monica College and Sarah J. Greenwald of Appalachian State University in North Carolina, have compiled more than 100 math references, from the simple to the cutting edge, in the show's 13-season run. Wow.. who would have thought.

Simpsons News — Posted 17 Mar, 2002 by MrBurns

4 New TShirts designs have been released with the Simpsons on them to your local Hot Topic (www.hottopic.com) stores. These include (1) Red Squishy & Apu shirt (2) Comic Book Guy, Worst T-Shirt ever shirt (3) I see Dumb People Bart TShirt & (4) High School Homer "Why Do I need to take English..." TShirt.

We did buy 3 of the 4 and on those 3 is the special "Limited Edition" tag. We can tell by the Hot Topic site that only 3200 of the Comic Book Guy shirts are being produced; we assume it's the same for the rest. In other words, these won't last very long, go to your local Hot Topic store and pick them up and while you're there sign up for their Simpson contest where you can win some very cool Simpson signed stuff.

Simpsons News — Posted 08 Mar, 2002 by MrBurns

Kelloggs has released a new Simpsons cereal in the UK featuring the Simpsons called "Bart Simpsons No Problem-O's". The cereal is cruchy lightly frosted cereal O's and mini chocolate cookies with pictures of such characters like Krusty and Homer on them. No word of this cereal being spotted in the US but this is probably a temporary cereal run done by Kelloggs just like the two previous ones done in the US.
