Preview: Future Burns Exclusive Set

Hey fans and collectors, the good people at New Force Comics have released the first image of the final, color version of the soon to be released Future Burns set. The set features Burns in a robot body with his favorite teddy bear Bobo. Also in the set is Smithers as a Teddy Bear and Burn's trusty sidekick dog.. Smither as well. The set is available for pre-order from the site for the price of $23.99, we recommend you pre-order now before supplies run out, this will be a very popular set.

Products: Series 14 and a New Phone

Hey fans, some new product previews heading your way. First off we have the first images of the World of Springfield Series 14 line from the good people at Figures.com. The series includes Luigi, Louie, Sarcastic Man, Willie in Kilt, Miss Hooverand Mrs. Botz (voiced by Penny Marshall). These are coming out aroudn Sept. 2003 to your local retailers.

Next up we have a new product from Hasbro, The Simpsons Prankster Phone (no image available yet). This is a replica of the phone that Bart has in his bedroom. Telephone actually works. This item retails for about $39.99 and is also do out in September. This is the first major Simpsons phone release since the 1990's release of the Bart phone which is still a very popular item. You can pre-order this item currently at Entertainment Earth.

Preview: Treehouse of Horror 4

Hey fans, Michael Crawford from MWC Toys and the people at Simpsons Collector Sector have gotten the very first look of the soon to be released Treehouse of Horror 4 Playmates playset. These are usually the biggest sellers of the Simpsons Playmates line and are very hard to find since they are exclusive to Toys R Us. This year's set features Lisa as Clobber Girl, Bart as Stretch Duded and Comic Book Guy as the Evil "Collector". Also features is Lucy Lawless in her Xena outfit. This if from the Treehouse of Horror X [BABF01]. We'll keep you informed as this product becomes availble.

Lisa Simpson's er.. Yeardley Smith's One-Man Show

Yeardley Smith, best known for voicing Lisa Simpson on the FOX-TV hit "The Simpsons," will workshop her new one-woman show at Joe's Pub. On June 13 at 7 PM, Smith will present a reading of her new show, which is titled The Good Life. Developed through Voice & Vision's ENVISION Lab, The Good Life follows the actress' comic journey both in and out of show business. Born in Paris, France, Yeardley Smith has been seen on the small screen in "Herman's Head," "The Tracey Ullman Show," "Brothers" and "Dharma & Greg." Her feature film credits include "City Slickers," "Jackie Toothless" and "As Good As It Gets." - Playbill

Worst Emmy Consideration Ad Ever

Abe Lincoln Step Aside.. Homer's Here

Hey fans, in a recent poll done by the BBC2 called What The World Thinks of America, our very own favorite dad Homer Simpson looks likely to beat Abraham Lincoln to the title of the greatest ever American. "The head of the Simpsons clan has taken almost a fifth of the votes in an internet poll.The 16th president of the US managed just over 16%." A 90-minute debate will be presented by BBC political editor Andrew Marr and will look at opinions about the US's position in the world. Read about it here.

Pre-views and Pre-orders

Hey fans, some more Diamond Comic previews and some news on pre-orders heading your way. We forgot the mention that in the June issue of the previews there was also the preview of the soon to be released Johnny Lightning Simpsons die-cast cars. Each is 1:64 scale and the first series includes Homer's Car, Marge's Car, Chief Wiggums's Police Cruiser and The School Bus. Scheduled for Sept. 2003 each retails for $4.99. Other little previews we missed were the mints (8 designs featured) for $2.50 each and some other toys we have already mentioned before.

In the pre-order territory we have a few things which you can start to spend your money on. First off Things From Another World has the Simpsons Silly Putty, Beer Tray, Homer on Donut Alarm Clock and more fun Simpsons merchandise on pre-order for very reasonable prices. Amazon.com now has the Ullman Era Simpsons Playset on Pre-order for $39.99. No final image is available of the item but it's sure to be a treat which features all the characters the way they were drawn when they were only 30 second cartoons on the Ullman show. Finally you can preorder Simpsons Jeopardy! from Spilsbury toys for $21.95. If you recall the item was mentioned before when the item was in very small supply. Alex Trebek still not included with the same.

Hey fans, some news and reminders heading your way for the week. First off a little fun provided to us by the USA Today'ship clicks section. This weekends recommendation was a website full dedicated to Simpsons music. The site carries anything from the newly Ned Flanders song Homer wrote in this season to songs all the way back to season 1. Tarnish.net Simpson lyrics is the site and we highly recommend you check it out for a quick laugh.

Next us we have a little reminder that today in the UK the Bravo! TV show "Inside the Actor's Studio" will be having the cast of voices of the Simpsons on the show. Get reminded of all the details here.
